Being in the people business, our mission here at V5 Global (FirstMeridian Company) is directly
focused on the betterment of our society and the wellness of people. Our CSR initiatives address the current and future needs of local communities, with the sole motive to ensure good health and
wellbeing of the weaker sections of the society.

Epilepsy Prevention and Integrated Care (EPIC)

Our EPIC initiative goes beyond just enabling funds for effective diagnosis, prevention practices,care, treatment and surgeries fo the underprivileged. In collaboration with Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC) and Sakra World Hospital, we are assuming the responsibility to reduce the burden of epilepsy, remove the social stigma around epilepsy and create equal opportunities for People with epilepsy (PWE).

As part of the EPIC program we are enabling adequate community education for identification and treatment of epilepsy, low-cost medical treatment, free medical care and consultation in epilepsy camps, and providing the infrastructure and personnel to conduct quarterly camps.

Our EPIC–Rotary mobile app is a common Epilepsy Care platform for Patients, Caretakers, Doctors and NGOs, featuring independent, user role-specific dashboards, activities, appointments and calendar, patient records management, informational material, emergency measures, admin dashboards and more.

The program was launched at Sakra World Hospital in September 2020, inaugurated by Hon. Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri. B.S. Yediyurappa, unveiling the Epilepsy Care unit at the Sakra World Hospital and the EPIC application for Android and iOS.

Health & Awareness Programs

We believe spreading awareness is critical to ensuring the safety of the community at large. Post the lockdown in 2020, we conducted awareness sessions on at the Health and Care Society, Dhola Kuan, New Delhi, where our CSR volunteers educated students on preventive measures such as hand washing, use of masks and other preventive interventions to reduce transmission of COVID-19 throug presentation and role play.

We also work with healthcare providers and NGOs in providing support to cancer treatment and cataract surgeries, organising blood donation camps and facilitating the treatment of patients suffering from terminal illnesses.

Elderly Care

India is home to 104 million people above the age of 60 years, making us the second highest demographic of elderly people in the world. Today, we are witnessing a large group of this demographic being abandoned in old age homes. Vulnerable to disabilities, dementia and many other physical and psychological ailments, these elderlies need special assistance and care on a daily basis.

As part of our Elderly care program, we at V5 Global visit various old age homes and offer our support in fulfilling their emotional and psychological needs.

Education

We at V5 Global strongly believe that education is the fundamental element that can transform underprivileged children’s lives and empower them with better health and increased income opportunities to overcome their family’s poverty. Without education, generations of families remain trapped in poverty and hardship.

At V5 Global, we are actively improving the quality of education and exploring avenues to provide underprivileged children with training and real-life work experiences and inspire them to learn more.

Our programs include regular visits to government schools, childcare centres and conducting teaching sessions, extracurricular activities and some vocational training to build them for the future. Often we like to go the extra mile and bring along children to our offices and let them engage with our employees in an attempt to inspire them to look forward to their lives and craft a bright future.
